Massage

Do you long to let go and surrender to life? Are you tired of holding on, being in survival mode?

Are you anxious and find yourself over thinking a lot of the time?

Life can feel stressful to the point where we don’t know how to rest, relax and restore ourselves.

Many clients tell me that they do not know what it is to feel relaxed in their body. They don’t have

a reference point for relaxed or if they do, it is a very rare experience or along time ago. They are

unable to access this state in their body on demand. Massage is a chance to come back into your body, to remind your body of it’s natural state.

Talking can get us so far and for some people, very far and yet……..

Your body is the apparatus through which you experience your life. It is your home. It is your birthright to love it. To feel good in it. To take care of it. To feel comfortable in it. For many reasons you may not have any of these rights fulfilled.

You may have learned to disconnect from your body because the sensations it experiences are

‘too much’ to handle.

You may have experienced painful or traumatic things which caused your body to contract in

attempt to protect yourself from these feelings or experiences.

Often our spirit dissociates from the body and moves into the mind in an attempt to avoid the

feelings and to create safety. And whilst it is effective to a point, it creates a sense of fragmentation and isolation.

We can become anxious. We can see our body as the enemy. WE can feel disconnected to ourselves and others.

Massage can help to bring about a sense of integrity and wholeness. As you release feelings, experience safety, rest and relaxation.

Depending on where you are and what you need, massage with me can result in a variety of benefits:

Meditation

Activate the parasympathetic nervous system

The parasympathetic nervous system is the branch of our autonomic nervous system that is responsible for our state of rest and digest. It is activated when we feel safe, free from threat and in connection with others. In our fast paced modern lives, we are often more habitually in a sympathetic nervous system response in our survival mode. It’s hard to enjoy life when your body is feeling like its’s constantly running from a tiger! Through the heart centred breath practice, we give our body a repeated experience of what it is to feel safe, calm and at rest. We begin to remind ourselves that rest and at ease can be our baseline state. You have a way to return from stress to calm.

When you have a reliable way to activate your parasympathetic nervous system in times of stress, you handle more of life’s challenges and enjoy more of life’s adventures. You become more resilient.

Change the electro magnetic field around you so that you attract abundance into your life.

The thoughts we think are electrical by nature. The feelings we feel have a magnetic pull. So as we intentionally think loving thoughts and generate loving feelings we are creating a magnetic force that attracts more love into our lives. This is an incredibly empowering practice for stimulating change.

We practice one heart centred practice that can:

- bring calm, gratitude and optimism

- Connect you with your own wisdom

- Remind you of your goodness and the goodness of those around you

- And most importantly build a super highway between you and feeling good, that you can call upon throughout the day and the days to come

This practice can be a very helpful adjunct to personal therapy.

When you feel good, you uplift others…

We are often taught that making a contribution is about being sacrificial, giving up something for the sake of others, going without. When we contribute from this place, we often feel exhausted, unvalued and resentful. In fact when we tap into the energies of love and gratitude and feel the effects of that for ourselves, we naturally and effortlessly spill it out onto others. You’ll find yourself appreciating people, giving to people, celebrating people, encouraging people without even thinking about it. You’ll uplift without even trying. People will gravitate towards you because it feels good to be around an appreciative joyful loving person.
